Helping organizations build, scale, or stabilize the operating systems behind their people.
My focus is leading a learning function in-house (Vancouver or remote). Alongside that, I take on a small number of advisory engagements.
Setting the learning strategy and building the systems that deliver it: academies, capability frameworks, and operating models that run under pressure and scale past the people who built them.
Proving learning changed the work, not just that it happened. I build the metrics, tracking, and evaluation that show whether capability actually transferred, then use the data to fix what isn't landing.
Building and leading the team behind the function, then developing leaders across it: people growing into senior roles, leading experts they can't be the SME for, or steering through change. I set the standard for credibility and communication, and I still run the sessions myself when it counts.
Coordinating internal teams, contractors, and cross-functional partners to one delivery standard. Change management through regulatory cutovers, partner transitions, and multi-location expansion.
Choosing, configuring, and getting real use out of the platforms learning runs on, and building AI into the learner experience, not just the production of it. Hands-on across multiple LMS and authoring tools, and AI-native by design.
I own how learning is experienced, not just what's in it, but how people move through it, what holds attention, and where they drop off. Teaching, graphic design, and years in VFX gave me the eye to set that standard and direct the people who build to it, instead of handing it off and hoping.
I work with organizations navigating moments where the workforce has to keep up with change.
The brief is usually ambiguous and the timeline compressed. That's where I do my best work, scoped to the problem, not just the org chart.
